Barbara Drummond graduated from Murphy High School and received her B.A. in communications from the University of South Alabama. Her professional experience includes working as a reporter for the Mobile Register, owning B-Inspired Marketing and Consulting Inc., serving as the executive director of administrative services and community affairs for the city of Mobile, and serving as the public affairs director for Mobile County. She has served on the board of directors for United Way of Southwest Alabama and the Alabama Association of Constitutional Reform
