Jackie Brown

I grew up in two locations, New Orleans and a small town called Klotzville, Louisiana, about forty miles southwest of New Orleans. I am the third child of a sibling group of eight. I experienced a lot of sadness as a child. My parents did not get all the love and support they needed from their parents so in turn they could not give to me. Considering what was lacking in their lives, they did not have the parenting tools of proper discipline, communication, modeling, or problem solving. With the limited understanding they had of what a parent was; they tried to show me love.
